Makhachkala, March 30, 2016. Today, a number of round tables and panel session has been held within the framework of the Second Republican Forum of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in Makhachkala.

It should be noted that the events took place in Dagestan State Technical University. The heads of large Dagestan industrial enterprises discussed issues related to the technological modernization and growth of import-substituting production.

Dagestani minister of industry and trade Yussup Umavov, deputies of Dagestan National Assembly, heads of the largest factories and enterprises of Dagestan attended the discussion.

Yussup Umavov informed about the state and prospects of Dagestan industry development, noting that the adoption of the priority development projects of the republic had become a point of reference for industrial development at the present stage. Speaking about the priority projects implementation "New Industrialization", Dagestani minister informed about the previously developed sources and institutions, as well as the measures to grow import-substituting production, to modernize enterprises, to renew human resources.

"The vilume of the government defense order for 2013-2015 years has increased by 2.2 times. Besides, 28 investment projects worth 31 billion 300 million rubles have been successfully implemented in the country. More than 5 thousand new work places were created  in Dagestan"- the minister reported.

According to Umavov, the action plan on import substitution consists of 20 investment projects. Thanks to the work carried out in this direction, the industrial production grew up to 780 million rubles.
