Makhachkala, March 20, 2014. On March 19, 1st Deputy Daghestan Prime Minister Anatoly Karibov met with "Nafta -Moscow" officials headed by CEO Oleg Lipatov.

The deputy chief of Daghestani Heads of Government Administration Mussalan Takhmanov and officials from other ministries and departments also attended the meeting, which was a result of a conference held in Derbent with participation of Daghestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov and Russian Minister of Regional Development Igor Slyunyayev.

"Nafta- Moscow" is considering participation in complex preparations for celebrating the 2000th anniversary of Derbent. In particular, they consider creating a hotel infrastructure in the city. The sides discussed the possibility of establishing tourism facilities, providing land for housing, and other specific details.

The investors are also interested in developing the coastal area of Derbent region including the special economic zone (SEZ) for tourism and recreation as part of the Caspian coastal cluster project. The region’s SEZ is set at 2,505 hectares. They showed the guests the map of the SEZ sites already included. Tomorrow, Anatoly Karibov and the company’s representatives are going to circumnavigate the area by helicopter to identify sites suitable for the investment project.
