Makhachkala, May 31, 2017. Yesterday, a competition of innovative projects developed by the young residents of the PERI Innovations incubator took place in Derbent.

The event brought together Ziyavudin Magomedov, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Summa Group, as well as the residents of Silicon Valley in the US such as Bill Shor, the head of the Caspian VC fund, the chairman of the board of directors of Hyperloop One, Sherwin Pishevar, the co-founder and managing director of Sherpa Capital, Gustavo Shoemaker, the founder and CEO of ASAPP, Martin Roshayzen, CEO of Diamond Foundry and Moat founder Noah Goodhart.

For the first time, the founders and managers of the most successful startups in the world arrived to Dagestan at the invitation of the founder of PERI Innovation, Ziyavudin Magomedov. This allowed the young Dagestan innovators to communicate with the startupers personally and to present their projects.
Three startups: Cero, ClevAPI and Medictur competed in the final part of the competition.

2D game Cero is a mixture of platform and top-down shooter. Each element of the game was created using mathematical formulas, that is, without graphic drawings. Cero is based on particles that are generated and move chaotically. The project manager is a young IT specialist Sagitav Sagitov.

ClevAPI is a smart image recognition technology for any application. A team of specialists under the leadership of Timur Luguyev worked on the project.
Another startup is "Medictur" service. The project of a young doctor Ruslan Aidiev allows medical clinics to invite qualified doctors-professors fr om Moscow, St. Petersburg, and from abroad to consult patients, to conduct surgical operations or seminars, and to give lectures.

Having analyzed the projects, the businessmen from the USA, recognized the Cero project as the best startup. As informed, the project manager will go on an internship to one of the innovative companies in the Silicon Valley.

In conversation with young innovators, the founder and CEO of ASAPP Gustavo Sapozhnik said that in terms of innovative technologies, it was necessary to keep a balance between the human factor and the robotization of the enterprise.

"At the present time, we can face the fact that robots are working instead of people. In this regard, it is necessary to understand that no robot can replace a person, but at the same time there are areas wh ere a robot can cope better than a human."- Gustavo Sapozhnik concluded.

The meeting participants were also interested in innovations in the field of mining and jewelry, and asked questions about how to start their project from scratch.
After the event, a delegation of guests led by Ziyavudin Magomedov visited the Naryn-Kala fortress, the oldest mosque in Russia - the Derbent Juma mosque and the house of Peter I.
