Makhachkala, April 13, 2015. As part of the departmental target program "Fishery industry development in the Republic of Dagestan for the years 2014-2016", the agricultural producers of the region will receive state support, the republican Agriculture Ministry official says.

According to the source, the subsidies are provided to the agricultural producers (except for the citizens engaged in private farming) from the republican budget in the amount of appropriations allocated in the current year.

Thus, the size of subsidies for reimbursement of expenses for fish breeding and reclamation activities (clearing the water supply and discharge canals, cleaning pond beds, repair shafts and gateways) totals 30% of the cost of work performed.

Besides, state support is also provided in the amount of 50% of the costs for the purchase of feed, stocking material and process equipment for the commercial fish farming organizations.

It is worth noting that the fishing industry of the republic is represented by fishing, fish processing, refrigeration facilities, port facilities and the plants for the reproduction of aquatic biological resources.

Currently in the republic, there are more than 100 companies engaged in fisheries around the clock or seasonal production cycle. Of these, 52 have quotas for aquatic biological resources and perform coastal fishery, 5 enterprises of maritime fishing (anchovy), 8 processing plants and more than 35 fish farms.
