1st Daghestan Interregional Construction and Architectural Forum "Dagstroyexpo-2014" starts in Makhachkala

Makhachkala, May 30, 2014. Today, the first Daghestan Interregional Construction and Architectural Forum "Dagstroyexpo-2014" started in Makhachkala. It was organized by Daghestan Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and the Daghestan Exhibition Centre "Daghestan-EXPO" with participation and support of the head and Government’s Administration, Daghestan ministries and departments, and Makhachkala administration.

The solemn opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Daghestan Prime Minister Arsen Gassanov, President of the Russian Builders’ Association Nikolai Koshman, the head of Daghestan Highway Agency Zagid Khuchbarov, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing  Mussa Mussayev, Minister of Trade, Investment and Enterprise Yussup Umavov, members of the National Assembly, and officials from involved ministries and agencies.

On behalf of the whole Daghestan building complex, Minister of Construction Mussa Mussayev welcomed the guests. "One of the socio-economic areas in the republic now is developing the building industry employing over 70,000. The construction economic sector has spent RUR 88.4 billion; to date, 11% of tax revenue is formed by Daghestan budget," – he said.

President of the Russian Builders’ Association Nikolai Koshman said that they enjoy very long-term and friendly relations with Daghestan. He added that town-building policy today ought to be very strict. Speaking about the building materials industry, Koshman noted that Daghestan has all the necessary conditions for a sharp increase in the construction measurements. "To meet the up-to-date requirements, we have to work for the outcome," - he said, and expressed his desire to help and support in solving problems.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the guests toured the exhibition. About 70 building companies, firms and entrepreneurs from more than 13 Russian regions and major cities and from the neighbouring countries presented their exhibits at the forum.

After the tour, the guests took part in the forum’s plenary session "Modern trends and prospects of developing the Daghestan building complex". The exhibition will continue tomorrow with round tables to address the most pressing issues of the building industry.
