Makhachkala, February 11, 2013. In Russia, the Union of Muslim Women – a unique public organization uniting Muslims who care about the future of Islam and the future of Russia as a whole has been established. According to the official website of the Council of Muftis of Russia, the Union consists of more than 50 offices across the country.
The idea of establishing such an organization matured for years. Muslim women as well as men are active members of the Muslim community and the Russian society, contributing to the development of spirituality, creativity and enlightenment.
One of the main objectives of the organization is to revive and develop the true values of Islam. The Union leader is Naila Aliyeva Ziganshina that directs the "Union of Muslim Women of Tatarstan." One of goals of the new organization is to restore the institution of matchmaking, to organize family centers, crisis centers for women to where every Muslim woman could appeal without fear.
In the near future, the Union plans to create a center of employment, where people will be able to find a decent job and realize themselves in the large companies. For children the Union organizes joint summer camps for the rest.
