Makhachkala, January 25, 2012. The two-fold Olympic champion Mavlet Batirov will not be able to take part in the International tournament "Ivan Yarygin - 2012" because of illness. As to the source in the republican freestyle wrestling team, the young Dagestan athlete passed all the preparatory stages for Yarygin Grand Prix and, according to the coaches got a good shape. On January 20, he had to fly to Krasnoyarsk with the first group of Dagestanis. But on the eve came down with a fever. The coaches hoped he recovers till January 25 to join to the second group of Dagestanis departing for the Tournament, but his condition did not improve.
Thus, Dagestan team will perform in Krasnoyarsk without two of its most prospective athletes. As previously reported, Bilal Makhov, the three fold world champion, also misses the Tournament for he is undergoing rehabilitation after surgery operation on his knee joint.
Let us remind that the Golden Grand Prix "Ivan Yarygin - 2012" starts January 26 in Krasnoyarsk.
