On January 20, a meeting of the activists of the city, devoted to the discussion of the Address of the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev to the Federal Assembly was held in Makhachkala. The event was attended by the Minister of National Policy, Religions and External Relations RD Bekmurza Bekmurzaev, the Chairman of the City Assembly Magomed Magomedrasulov, the Rector of the Dagestan State Agricultural Academy Zaydin Djambulatov. The Head of administration of the city of Makhachkala Said Amirov presided over the meeting.

In particular, he noted that the Address to the Federal Assembly was an important social and political event of the last year.

"The Address also highlighted the main priorities of the country: business development, the development of the competitive environment, attracting of investments in the creation of modern industry, the development of high-efficiency agriculture, housing, service industries. In addition, on January 16, the President took the initiative to return to the election of regional heads "- Said Amirov said.

The mayor also said that on 4 March the Russians will make an important choice in electing a new president of Russia.

During the event, a resolution of the activists of the city was adopted: it was decided to approve the Address of the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev to the Federal Assembly.

At the end of the meeting a number of employees of administration and municipal services received awards for their work in 2011.
