Makhachkala, July 28, 2011. The State Duma deputy Khizri Shikhsaidov expressed his opinion about the first Dagestan Economic Forum: "The present day Forum is being held at the very high level of organization. It gathered more than 1 thousand active participants. Of course, I appreciate the expositions presented by Dagestan enterprises. More than 60 investment projects covering all areas of the economy have been presented at the Forum. Products of folk art and crafts which are the hallmark of Dagestan and reflect various aspects of our traditions have been presented at the very high level. The Forum turned out to be a great event. Now, we have to wait for the results. We hope for the signing of new contracts and agreements.

There are many companies willing to implement major investment projects that promise new jobs for the Dagestanis and more tax revenues to the republican budget. However, in my opinion, the main result of the Forum should be further strengthening of international economic relations. In this sense, the Forum is not only a powerful foundation for the development of Russian and international economic processes but also the dynamic course of strengthening the prestige of our republic".
