Makhachkala, April 28, 2011. The II International Seminar “Organization of tourist activities in the city. Good practice of tourist centers in Russia and abroad" has come to the end April 23, in Novgorod. Dagestan was represented by the deputy director of "The tourist-business center “Dagestan” of the Tourism Agency RD M. Musailov.

The seminar was organized by the Committee on Tourism and International Relations of Velikiy Novgorod, the Center for Tourism Development "Krasnaya Izba" (Velikiy Novgorod, Russia) and the Bureau for Tourism, Strasbourg.

The event was held within the Year of Russia in France and the Year of France in Russia.  The International seminar brought together representatives of tourist offices, tourist information centers, specialists from Russia and abroad. In total the representatives of 17 regions took part in the work of the seminar.  At the round table each participant had an opportunity to make a presentation of tourist potential of native region (territory), to see the latest strategies and concepts of development of tourism in the region and to share experiences in implementing innovative projects. M.Musailov presented a video film about Dagestan and delivered a report on the opportunities of tourism industry in the region.
