Makhachkala, December 31, 2011. The Ministry of Education and Science hosted the All-Russian conference of heads of executive bodies of Russia exercising control in the sphere of education, on the theme "Modernization of the regional systems of general education." As to the press service of Ministry of Education of the Republic the conference has been attended by the deputy Minister of Education and Science RD Abdulatipgadzhi Osmanov.

The conference participants discussed the outcomes of the project to upgrade the regional system of general education in 2011 and tasks for 2012. It was noted that the Republic of Dagestan has created all the conditions necessary for the implementation of the project in 2011, as well as among the first presented the draft set of measures to modernize the general education in 2012 for approval to the Russian Ministry.

In 2012, the federal budget will allocate $ 2 955.0 million rubles for the modernization of the republican general education system. The funds can be directed to equip educational institutions with visual equipment, vehicles, textbooks and educational literature, as well as certification, training and retraining of teachers, organizing school distance learning process and the implementation of energy efficiency measures in schools. The average teachers' salaries should not be below the average wage in the economy of the Republic of Dagestan.
