Makhachkala, March 25, 2009. Work of the Thai Boxing Federation of Dagestan in 2008 and targets for 2009 were considered at the regular board of the Thai Boxing Federation of Dagestan.
The executive director of the Thai Boxing Federation of Dagestan Abdulnasir Medzhidov declared a speech on work results for 2008. According to Medzhidov, the last year sportsmen won 10 medals – 5 gold ones, 4 silver ones and one bronze. Dagestan became an absolute leader in the general team classification.

The Thai Boxing Federation achieved success not on the boxing ring only: a representative of Dagestan Magomedemin Gadzhiev entered the presidium of the Thai Boxing Federation RF and became a senior coach of the national team of Russia.

As to the president of the Thai Boxing Federation RD Yusup Umavov, in September of the current year Dagestan for the first time will host the Thai boxing championship of Russian. “We must hold this tournament at a high organization level. This question has been supported by the Ministry of Sports RD and the Thai Boxing Federation RF,”- he commented.
