Makhachkala, January 16, 2008. Dagestan artists will take part in the All-Russia art exhibition “Russia – XI” to be opened on January, 27th in Moscow. The review of achievements of masters of art for five years is traditionally organized by the Union of artists of Russia.

The previous exhibition “Russia – X” took place in 2004. Its exposition included products of approximately two thousand authors from all regions of the country. As to the chairman of the Union of artists of Dagestan Kurbanali Magomedov, winners of the regional exhibition “South of Russia” held in Sochi have been recommended for participation in the regular exhibition in 2009.

Preliminary selection of works will be held in Moscow on January, 17th. More than 40 works of Dagestan artists will be submitted for the selection stage. The Central house of artists will host the exhibition in a month.
