Makhachkala, July 9, 2008. Dagestan sportsmen have won six gold and one bronze medal in the last Thai boxing championship and European tournament held at the end of June in Polish city of Zgorzhelets.

More than 300 sportsmen from 37 countries became the tournament participants.  Eight Dagestan sportsmen, members of the combined team of Russia, have taken part in the competitions and achieved great success, as a chief coach of the combined team of Russia, executive director of Dagestan Thai boxing federation Abdulnasyr Medzhidov, who accompanied athletes, has informed the RIA “Dagestan”.
