Museum of fine arts named after P.Gamzatova has hosted an exhibition "Jeweller’s art" by Rasul Alikhanov

Makhachkala, March 1, 2008. A museum of fine arts named after P.Gamzatova has hosted an exhibition "Jeweller’s art" by the known Kubachi master Rasul Alikhanov.
 
The exhibition is devoted to the 85th year anniversary of the master. The ministry for culture and tourism RD, Dagestan museum of fine arts named after P.Gamzatova and DSUHAM named after A.A. Takho-Godi have organized the exhibition.

Rasul Alikhanov was an outstanding master, a laureate of the state premium named after I.E.Repin. Many times he was a candidate for the Supreme body, participated in many exhibitions, represented the works in many museum expositions. He was 13 when his works were exhibited in London and received Grand prix.
At the exhibition there have been shown works collected all over the republic - from a collection of the museum of fine arts, a collection of Dagestan state united historical and architectural museum, a museum of local lore; Kubachi center has presented three works from its small museum, and also from private collections of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren of the master, as the museum employees have informed the RIA "Dagestan".

There have been exhibited approximately 50 works. Along with the works by Rasul Alikhanov, at the exposition one can see very interesting works by Dagestan painters and graphics artists, including the known press photographer Kamil Chutuev.
