Makhachkala, November 20, 2008. A ratio between average gross payroll and cost of living strongly varies depending on the region: optimum index is observed in Tyumen region, the least one - in Dagestan and Altai.
In modern Russia the average wage level still lags behind the international standards; it prevents increasing of labour productivity and technical reequipment of domestic enterprises. Such a conclusion was drawn in the report of the commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on labour relations and employee retirement income, made public at a plenary session of the Public Chamber.
Another conclusion ran about excessive differentiation of wage depending on a branch, an enterprise and a region. In July of the current year a monthly average wage level made more than 40 thousand rubles in financial organizations, and, for example, in agriculture and forestry – in five times less.
