Makhachkala, November 20, 2008. “Megaphon-Severniy Kavkaz” has finished installing 3G network. The company has put into operation 185 new base stations providing 3G technology, in Makhachkala, Kaspiisk, Derbent, Khasavyurt, Belidji, Dagestanskie Ogni, Magaramkent, Buynaksk, Izberbash, Kizilyurt, Leninkent, Tyube and Kizlyar.

The company put 3G network into commercial operation on October, 7, 2008, in Dagestan. During a month of work of the 3rd generation a subscriber base of the company increased up to 5 thousand residents of the republic – these are the first users of the new services on the basis of 3G technology.
