Makhachkala, September 10, 2017. The action, aimed at the expansion of the National Register of Bone Marrow Donors, is taking place at the blood donation point for HLA-typing in Makhachkala from September 7 to September 14, the press service of the republican Public Health Ministry informs.

Within the framework of the event organized in eight regions of Russia by the Center for Molecular Diagnostics (CMD) and the Russian Foundation, the specialists will consult those wishing to become donors on any issue related to the participation in the action and subsequent inclusion into the National Register.

To fill up the database containing information about people who agree to provide their hematopoietic stem cells in case of need to save the life of patients with some oncological diseases, one can go to Magomed Hajiyev's house 27 "A", to the medical office of CMD - and to donate over 9 ml of blood from vein to HLA-typing.

The procedure is painless and is not dangerous for the donor oneself. It is noted that the multi ethnic society of Dagestan and the uniqueness of genotypes can save many lives of the severely ill compatriots.
